What Would "Mr. Clark" Think? Former "Lean On Me" Actor BUSTED For Buying 200lbs Of WEED!

Somewhere in HollywoodMorgan Freeman needs to bust out his old bullhorn because one of the Lean On Me graduates of East Side High just got arrested for buying 200lbs of weed! Get the deets inside...

Jermaine "Huggy" Hopkins, an actor who starred with Morgan Freeman in the 1989 classic Lean On Me, was busted in Arizona this week for allegedly buying 200lbs of weed from an undercover cop.  Hmmm....sounds like intent to distribute.

Jermaine, who played "Thomas Sams" in the film, has been charged with two felony counts of possessing, transporting and trying to sell marijuana. Cops say the 38-year-old actor lives in North Carolina but traveled to AZ to gets the weed.  SMH.......

After the transaction, cops also fouind $100k in cash in Jermaine's car!  And back at his AZ apartment, they found an additional 100 pounds of weed!

So what led the actor, who also starred in Juice, down this road?  Cops say Huggy told them he wanted his family to have a nice Christmas.  

He is being held on $35,000 bond and faces 5 years in prison if convicted.

Octavia Spencer, Viola Davis And Idris Elba GRAB Golden Globe Nominations

Sofia Vergara and Rashida Jones announced the 69th Annual Golden Globe nominations and of course, YBF chicks Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer are leading the way. Get the deets on the nominations inside.....

Sofia Vergara, Rashida Jones, Gerard Butler, and Woody Harrelson announced the 69th Annual Golden Globe nominations at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

It was also revealed that Morgan Freeman will be presented the Cecil B. Demille Award for his outstanding career achievements.

The Help was nominated for Best Motion Picture - Drama while its stars Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer received Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama and Best Actress in a Supporting Role- Drama nominations respectively. The Help also received a nod for Best Original Song.

Actor Idris Elba was nominated for Best Actor, TV-Movie or Miniseries for "Luther."  And Bridesmiads (featuring Maya Rudolph) was nominated for Best Motion Picture - Comedy.

The Golden Globes will by hosted by Ricky Gervais and air on January 15, 2012.

Tami Roman ACCUSED Of Dodging Ex-Manager's Bill + Vivica A. Fox's "Break-Up" Party

Tami Roman's ex-manager says he took her tothetop then she left him high and dry. Get the deets on his lawsuit against the "BBW" star inside and find out about Vivica A. Fox's "break-up" party.....

Does Tami Roman skip out on her bills?  According to an LA County lawsuit filed by ex-manager Jerry Silverhardt....she does. 

On Monday, Jerry sued Tami for an "outstanding bill" claiming she fired him AFTER he got her on"BBW." 

He claims Tami paid him for Season Two but still owes him for Season 3.  Also, he says they had an  oral contract that would pay him 10% on all "Wives" paychecks for seasons 3
through 6.    Hmmmm.........

So far, Tami has not responded to the lawsuit.  

 

 

And in ex-couple's news......

Vivica Fox appeared in Star Magazine this week revealing deets about her "Thank God Viv Dodged a Bullet!!!" party in Los Angeles last week. The party was thrown by her "bridesmaids." 

The party featured signature drinks such as "On to the Next" and "F*ck Da Ex!" with Vivica and her pals enjoying karaoke and fabulous gift bags!

Sounds like a fun break-up!

SPORTS: It's Official, Chris Paul TRADED To The LA Clippers, Blake Griffin Reacts

It's official, Chris Paul was traded to the LA Clippers and his new teammate Blake Griffin seems happy about it. Get the deets inside...

In a deal that went through last night, The LA Clippers sent shooting guard Eric Gordon, center Chris Kaman, small forward Al-Farouq Aminu and their unprotected 2012 first-round draft pick to the New Orleans Hornets in exchange for Chris Paul and a pair of 2015 second-round picks.

In a conference held yesterday, NBA Commissioner David Stern said,

"I knew that we were doing the best thing for New Orleans. That was my job. The future of the Hornets is looking better today than it ever has before."

And Chris, who will make $16.3 million this season, will become the Clippers' most significant free agent acquisition since relocating to Los Angeles in 1984. And his new teammate Blake Griffin seems happy about him coming aboard. When informed of the trade, he said "Yeah! It's going to be lob city."

So far, Chris hasn't spoken about the trade.

Perched and ready to return to the top of the charts, Ashanti kicks off her upcoming fifth studio album with an upbeat track called "The Woman You Love" featuring Cash Money rapper Busta Rhymes. The track sounds like vintage Ashanti with its hip hop/R&B beat and hot verse from a hot rapper.

She tweeted:

Both President & Mrs. Obama and Mission Impossible stars Paula Patton and Tom Cruise have been doing their part to bring holiday joy and cheer to our troops. See photos inside.....

 

President and Mrs. Obama were at Ft. Bragg earlier bringing holiday cheer to the troops.

President Obama recently revealed his two favorite shows are "Modern Family" and "Homeland!"

Mrs. Obama looked quite "presidential" herself in a smart black suit.

The FLOTUS then introduced her husband to the soldiers at Ft. Bragg  as he offered them words of encouragement.  These two are SO into each other...

The Obamas returned to Washington, DC shortly after the event today.

 

And in Germany.....

 

Mission: Impossible 4 co-stars Tom Cruise and Paula Patton visited with Wounded Warriors and tour USO center at Ramstein Air Force Base’s Contingency Aeromedical Staging Facility and the USO Warrior Center in Germany on Sunday, December 11, 2011.

Paula and Tom surprised more than 500 service members and their families by delivering an in-person introduction to a free screening of their new movie and thanking them for their service.

Great to see our celebs giving back.

Diddy has released a new commercial for his "Art Of Celebration/Luck Be A Lady" CIROC campaign. Watch the video inside and see Jessica White, Jesse Williams and Eva Marcille among others.

With a tribute to the Rat Pack, Diddy's new "Luck Be A Lady" Ciroc ad has hit the web.

Set to the world-famous Frank Sinatra tune,  the Anthony Mandler-directed ad stars a cast of up and coming artists representing the future of Hollywood including, Jessica White, Eva Marcille, Christine Teigen, Chad Michael Murray, Aaron Paul, Lisa Seiffert, Michael K. Williams, Jesse Williams and Dania Ramirez.

Of the song selection, Diddy said,

The trailer for Tyler Perry's latest flick Good Deeds starring himself, Thandie Newton, Gabrielle Union and more has been released. Watch it inside...

Tyler Perry latest film, Good Deeds, is set to open in theaters everywhere February 24, 2012. and we have the trailer. The film stars Tyler Perry, Thandie Newton, Brian White, Rebecca Romijn, Jamie Kennedy, Eddie Cibrian, Jordenn Thompson, Beverly Johnson, Phylicia Rashad and Gabrielle Union.

Tyler plays a businessman named Wesley Deeds who's engaged to a restless fiancée, Natalie (Gabrielle Union). One day he goes does a good deed for Lindsey (Thandie Newton), a down-on-her-luck single mother, and it sparks a fire that threatens to change his relationship and his life. Last night, Zoe Kravtiz, SAG nominee Viola Davis and Taraji P. Henson were among the actresses who came out to support actress Glenn Close at the Albert Nobbs screening. Get the deets inside...

Last night, Giorgio Armani & Cinema Society hosted a screening of the Rodrigo García-directed film Albert Nobbs starring Glenn Close.  The screening was held at the Museum of Modern Art with an afterparty at Armani Ristorante.

Zoe Kravtiz looked nice in a simple brown skirt and white top.  Looked a bit unfinished, but that's look she loves to go for apparently.

SAG nominee Viola Davis looked fab in white, wearing a smart suit and stunning overcoat.

Angela Bassett wore a cutesy black and white dress.

Gabby Sidibe also stuck with the black/white theme.

Taraji P. Henson stood out as the lady in red at the swanky event in this fab red gown.  We also love the purse and bangles for a pop of more color.
